It's humming and buzzing for bio diversity!

Cheers to our insects!

Our insects are the basis for a functioning and balanced ecosystem. Nevertheless, their diversity and survival are under massive threat:

Industrial agriculture with monocultures and the widespread use of pesticides robs our insects of their habitat and destroys the natural balance between pests and beneficial insects. Agriculture, food and raw material production are inextricably linked to insects: Insects improve our soils and pollinate our crops. Conversely, this means that the loss of biodiversity means the loss of all our livelihoods.

Our insect pastures - our contribute to preserving biodiversity

AlmaWin has actively campaigned for the preservation of biodiversity and 2020 and 2021 converted arable land totaling 3000 square meters into insect meadows by sowing insect-friendly wildflowers and wild plants. The flowering areas are located in the immediate vicinity of the company building and are reseeded every year.

Our own bee colony!

This year, in 2025, a bee colony was also established, which is looked after and cared for by AlmaWin employees. Everyone is looking forward to the first honey.

Welcome to AlmaWin!

In March 2025, our bees moved to the beneficial insect pasture. Initially, they still had to be fed, as nothing was flowering yet. We are pleased that they have settled in well.

Our busy bees are flying out.

We are very pleased that our bees have settled in well. Now they are swarming out. The insect pasture now offers many sources of food: Thistles, wild cade, bee pasture, vetches, rape and much more.

AlmaWin's first insects pasture

Back in 2020, we not only planted our own beneficial insect meadow and distributed seed packets to our customers.

AlmaWin's butterfly meadow

Just one year later, in 2021, we had our second meadow sown. This time with a seed mixture especially for butterflies.
